The Book of UJU

The Sermon
Salvation

THE SERMON LIKE THE LORD’S

No greater sermon than the Lord’s!

A message from Uju a servant of Christ Jesus by the grace of God through Christ Jesus, according to the word in the scripture,

2. To the WORLD; glory and honor be unto LORD God Almighty and Christ Jesus our Lord savior forever and ever. Amen.

3. According to Amos 7.14-15:

“Then Amos answered Amaziah, I am no prophet, nor a prophet’s son; but I am a herdsman, and a dresser of sycamore trees, and the LORD took me from following the flock, and the LORD said to me, “Go prophesy to my people Israel.”

4. So am I, Uju, a worker of art by trade; the word of God, the Spirit of God, in the name of Christ Jesus appeared to me in a flame of fire from the scripture; and I immediately prophesied saying, “Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand” to people of the world.

5. I am no pastor, evangelist, prophet nor an apostle, but by the grace and mercy of God the father of Christ Jesus, I am writing this message to the WORLD according to the scripture.

SALVATION

DIVINE PURPOSE

1. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth and all the things thereof.

2. He created the spirit beings, angels to inhabit the heavens and created man, the living soul to inhabit and rule the earth.

3. God created all the beings – spirit beings and human beings and destined them for eternal life. They are therefore subject to death: spirit beings to spiritual death, and human beings to physical and spiritual death.

4. God commanded all his creation to obedience, more especially the beings – spirit and human. In obedience to God the beings will gain eternal life; conversely, in disobedience they will lose eternal life.

5. Surprisingly both the spirit beings and man disobeyed God, and thus lost the bid to eternal life. As a result of the loss to eternal life they became bound to eternal death.

6. In the omniscience of God, and infinite mercy, God came up with a redemptive plan to restore the lost eternal life of the beings called salvation.

7. Salvation, therefore is God’s redemptive divine plan to give back eternal life to the beings out of grace through his Son, Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit for the beings that believe and obey to the end.

8. For this is the divine purpose of salvation!

The road to salvation

9. Salvation is by grace – a free gift of God through Christ Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit to the beings that believe and obey to the end. Rm.3:21-26

10. As a free gift – grace, there are conditions attached to it to meet to obtain the free gift of salvation through Christ.

11. The conditions to obtain the free gift of salvation are believe and obedience through faith in Christ Jesus for man; and for spirit beings thorough obedience devoid of faith. The spirits don’t need faith in Christ to gain eternal life for they are already spirits and therefore see the Lord one-on-one.

12. The spirit beings already know what are required of them for eternal life on face value; they have a premeditated knowledge of the benefits and consequences of their actions towards the Lord. For this reason, it is impossible to restore them to repentance once they sin; they are already enlightened by creation. This is according to the scripture in Heb.6:4-8,

“For it is impossible to restore again to repentance those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they then commit apostasy, since they crucify the Son of God on their own account and hold him up to contempt. For the land which has drunk the rain that often falls upon it and brings forth vegetation useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God. But if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed; its end is to be burned.”

13. A similar fate befalls man, but only through faith in the Lord. The fall of man through disobedience to God, shortened his glory to God, and deprived him of eternal life. Man, as the dust of the earth in his present pitiable state therefore needs faith in Christ to draw nearer God.

14. For without faith it is impossible for man to please God, since he is not seeing God face-to-face. Therefore, man needs to work out his salvation through exercising faith in the Lord by the power of the Holy Spirit.

15. Consequently the road to salvation for man begins once he obtains mercy of the Lord through the gift of repentance.

16. Repentance as the beginning of the journey to salvation is a free gift obtained not by the works of the law or the works of righteousness of man or by the power of man, but by the Spirit of God through Christ Jesus.

17. The road to salvation is narrow and hard, according to the Lord in Matt.7:14,

“For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few.”

18. The road to salvation is associated with sufferings, persecutions, tribulations, temptations, trials, afflictions, challenges, etc. But it will definitely lead you to eternal life if you endure to the end.

19. With these dilemmas, you need the grace of God through Christ Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit to successfully pull through it. Therefore, you cannot do it on your own.

The way, and the truth, and the life

JESUS CHRIST

20. Man needs faith in Christ Jesus to grasp the gift of salvation as the prerequisite in believe and obedience well above the law. Rm.4:1-25.

21. For Christ Jesus is the righteousness of God such that in him we have peace with God. Rm.5:1-11.

22. Before the revelation of Christ Jesus, God was solely for the Israelites; the Gentiles had no God. The revelation of Christ brought God both to the Jews and Gentiles, breaking down the barrier demarcating them and thus reconciling all through himself to God.

23. The reconciliation brought unity and peace through faith among all who believe and obey – the Jews first and then the Gentiles.

24. As a result, Christ became the way, and the truth, and the life to God both for the Jews and the Gentiles as written in John14:6,

“I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me.”

25. Christ is the revelation of God to man – Emmanuel: God with us.

26. According to the testimony of the scripture in Heb.1:1-3,

“In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers by the prophets; but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He reflects the glory of God and bears the very stamp of his nature.”

27. Of old God sent prophets to manifest himself to man, but the drive failed to achieve the divine purpose of salvation. To this end God came himself to man in the likeness of his Son, Christ Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit in order for man to gain direct access to eternal life.

28. The revelation and manifestation of God through Christ Jesus, brought about the way by which man shall follow; brought the truth which is Spirit and life; brought the life which is eternal life, all to man.

29. The scripture testifies that through the gospel, which is the word of God being the Spirit and life, immortality is brought to light being the power of God unto salvation to all who believe and obey through faith in the Lord.

How can man gain salvation?

ONE-ON-ONE WITH THE LORD BY FAMILY

1. It is certain man cannot save himself or be saved by another man or spirit. In the same vein salvation is not gained by man’s will or exertion rather by God’s mercy as written in Rm.9:15-16,

“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” So, it depends not upon man’s will or exertion, but upon God’s mercy.”

2. Similarly, salvation is not obtained or given by any religion, social or political association.

3. Salvation, therefore can only be gained or given by Christ Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit of God for those who believe and obey through faith. For him through faith is righteous shall live.

4. Thus, salvation is on one-on-one with the Lord by family.

5. Salvation is not by any Christian religious churches; not by the so-called Christian religion ministers – GOs, bishops, senior pastors, pastors, reverends, apostles, prophets, prophetesses, evangelists, preachers, teachers……etc.

6. From the beginning the family of God is the family of man by birth!

7. The family of God is the family of man by birth, not by association by reason of same religious organizations more especially Christian religious churches. Christian religious churches are not one family in God, for the family of God is not by religious inclinations, rather by birth.

8. Whoever calls you one family in God by reason of the same religious faith is a deceit or acting out of ignorance. For by no religious faith one is saved. One is saved by the Lord in a family of birth irrespective of religious association.

9. From the beginning, even before the laying of the foundation of the world God has predestined the elect by family of birth for salvation by the Lord.

10. The family of salvation is the Lord’s descent, called and chosen by family of birth of them that believe and obey through faith in the Lord.

11. The first family of God – Adam and Eve failed as a descent to lead mankind to eternal life. But their fall didn’t in any way undermine the divine purpose of God raising his family – the Lord’s descent.

12. The Lord’s descents as a family of salvation is rooted in faith in the Lord – recounting men of faith from Abel to Enoch, to Noah, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to this day.

13. In the days of these men of faith were religious groups, whose faith as a group fall short of the standard of the Lord, and as a result could not be used to build the descent of the Lord.

14. By the will of God, the Lord chose men of faith by family of birth, notable among them was the family of Noah who was of Adam’s descendants – Gen.5:1-32.

15. The family of Noah was eight in number: Noah, Shem, Ham, Japhet and their respective wives; and from the three sons of Noah the whole earth was peopled according to the scripture in Gen.9:19.

16. The next family of the Lord was Abraham. Abraham was of the descendant of Noah through Shem. Therefore, Shem was the primary ancestor of Abraham – Gen.11:10-32.

17. God chose the family of Abraham. Abraham had other sons, but his descent shall be by Isaac – a child of promise not by the will of the flesh.

18. From Isaac, Jacob was chosen against his brother Esau, for the persistence of God’s election.

19. From Jacob – Israel, the family foundation of the Lord was laid which gave birth to the twelve tribes of Israel to this day unto eternity.

20. By divine organization the twelve tribes of Israel were by their respective families to this day unto eternity. Notable among these divine families were the families or tribes of Levi and Judah by priesthood.

21. Remarkably, Moses, the mediator of the old covenant descended from the tribe or family of Levi; on the other hand, the Lord, the mediator of the new covenant descended from the tribe or family of Judah by the kingship of David: the son of David.

22. The Lord’s descents are attested in Matt.1:1-17,

“The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.” Matt.1:1

“So, all the generations from Abraham to David were fourteen generations, and from David to the deportation to Babylon fourteen generations, and from the deportation to Babylon to the Christ fourteen generations.” Matt.1:17

23. The eternity of the twelve tribes or families of Israel was confirmed by the scripture in Rev. 21:12,

“It had a great, high wall. With twelve gates, and the gates twelve angels, and on the gates the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel were inscribed;”

24. The above stated was the holy city of new Jerusalem – the Bride, the wife of the Lamb coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God, its radiance like a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. Rev.21:9-11.

25. The same immortality of families by birth of the twelve apostles of the Lord as written in Rev. 21:14,

“And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.”

26. Recall the sealing the servants of God – the 144, 000; 12,000 each sealed from the twelve tribes or families of Israel according to the scripture in Rev.7:4,

“And I heard the number of the sealed, out of every tribe of the sons of Israel,”

27. The same divine selection of the Lord’s descent from the earth by the testimony of the scripture in Rev.7:9-10; they were gathered by families of birth rather than by religious devotion or groups.

“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no man could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the  throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb!” Rev.7:9-10

28. Undoubtedly, the life of the Lord on earth was association by families, rather than by religion. The Lord jettisoned the religious groups of his time – the Pharisees, Sadducees, scribes, Sanhedrin, etc., and went for families predestined to conform to his image.

29. Consequently, the households of the twelve apostles were known to Lord to their families. Sometimes the Lord stays with them – as in the case of Apostle Peter.

30. The same is with the household of Mary, Martha and Lazarus; the household of Zacchaeus, who the Lord said, “Today salvation has come to your household.”

31. Remember, Apostle Peter was sent by the Lord to bring salvation to the household of the Roman centurion, Cornelius. In the same circumstance Apostle Philip was also sent to the Ethiopian eunuch who brought salvation to his family, ultimately in repayment of the Ethiopian eunuch, Ebedmelech who saved the life of Prophet Jeremiah some 400 years before.

32. In the making of the early churches by the then Apostles and disciples of the Lord condition was by families of the elders, who they pointed out must be able to manage his household with ultimate fear of the Lord to be able to manage the household of God.

33. The integrity of the elders of the then churches were based on the holiness of their families, rather than on religious associations.

34. But today in Christian religion the reverse is the case. Families or households of the so-called Lord are by their churches; by denominations; by varying and antagonizing faiths.

35. You are one family once you are a member of their church, even when against the family of your birth. What an abomination!

36. Father, mother, children of one household now belong to different churches and denominations – bringing about disunity of faith and in-fighting in the family. This ugly situation is fueled by the alleged churches and denominations held captive by purported Christian religion ministers – GOs, bishops, senior pastors, pastors, reverends, apostles, prophets, prophetesses, evangelists, preachers, teachers……etc.

37. The head of the woman, and family is no longer the husband rather is the Christian religion ministers  –  GOs, bishops, senior pastors, pastors, reverends, apostles, prophets, prophetesses, evangelists, preachers, teachers……etc. The principal cause so many of them sleep with married women of different families. An abomination!

38. The scripture made it very clear, that the head of the woman is her husband in 1Cor.11:3,

“But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a woman is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.”

39. In the same situation, the scripture commanded the woman to ask her husband at home what she fails to understand in the congregation, and not the minister as written in 1Cor.14:35,

“If there is anything they desire to know, let them ask their husbands at home.”

40. By this implication, there is wisdom in the command – expectedly every home that sincerely fears the Lord should have the head of the family – the husband, as a holy man of God who is physically and spiritually in-charge of the family order than her hovering over the minister in the church for answers of the Lord.

41. Recall Job and his household, wherein he was in-charge physically and spiritually of the affairs of the family. The same was applicable to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

 42. But today in Christian religion the reverse is the case. The heads of families and households of people are Christian religion ministers –  GOs, bishops, senior pastors, pastors, reverends, apostles, prophets, prophetesses, evangelists, preachers, teachers……etc., by their churches; by denominations; by varying and antagonizing faiths.

43. That’s why the scripture accused them of entering households capturing weak women burdened with sins as written in 2Tim.3:6-7,

“For among them are those who make their way into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and swayed by various impulses, who will listen to anybody and can never arrive at a knowledge of the truth.”

44. Please kindly note:

salvation is by families of birth who believe and obey the Lord out of faith by the mercy of God and the power of the Holy Spirit and not by denominations or so-called Christian religion churches.

45. In addition to this truth, is Apostle Paul relaying the ancestral faith in the household of Timothy by birth, as written in 2Tim1:5,

“I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure dwells in you.”

46. Also remember that God rewards or punishes by households as evident in the case of Eli and his sons; Korah and his families; King Ahab and his families………etc. On the other hand, God rewarded the faith of Abraham by giving him a son, Isaac; Zachariah and Elizabeth by giving them a son, John the Baptist whose wives had passed reproductive ages. All these were by their families and not by religious groups.

47. For salvation and punishment are rooted in families as the LORD GOD said in Deut. 5:9,

“You shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.”

48. From time immemorial, God has been dealing with a people traceable to their families, rather than religious denominations.

49. Therefore, I urge everyone of you to root your life back to your family of birth, for curses or blessings are associated with it for the salvation of your soul by the Lord.

50. For the household of the Lord stems from your household of birth.

51. The Lord came in the flesh by the household of Joseph and Mary with other siblings of his, traceable to David to Abraham – Matt. 1:1. He never abandoned them despite their unbelief in him as the Messiah. Remember James and Jude, were amid the writers of the scripture as the Lord’s siblings; the grace was extended to them.

52. As the saying goes, charity begins at home, so also, salvation begins at home!

Why salvation?

THE LOVE OF GOD

1. Why salvation?

2.Without the fall of man, salvation couldn’t have been.

3. Man was created and destined to eternal life by God.

4. To gain eternal life, man must be obedient to God; man must obey the word of God and his commandment to gain eternal life.

5. And man disobeyed God and fell.

6. Therefore, the fall of man brought about salvation.

7. Salvation, therefore, is God’s redemptive divine plan to give back eternal life to man out of grace through his Son, Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit for them that believe and obey Him to the end. Thus, salvation is the love of God to man through Christ Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit.

8. The entire scripture is about salvation!

9. Thus, the essence of man’s living or life on earth is about salvation. You must be saved by Christ or perish forever.

10. Obviously, salvation is only by Christ Jesus, the Son of God by the power of the Holy Spirit.

12. Everyman is liable to eternal death for sin; the fall of Adam consequently brought sin and death to mankind. Therefore, everyman needs salvation of the Lord to regain his lost endowment from God which is eternal life.

13. The preaching, teaching, gospel, miracle, signs and wonders as contained in the scripture are all about the salvation of man by Christ Jesus.

14. All the activities of the divinity – God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are about the salvation of man.

15. Thus, salvation is the love of God to man through Christ Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit. This is as testified by the scripture in John3:16,

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

16. It is certain that all the prophets sent by God to man could not bring about salvation, except his Son, Christ Jesus. Therefore, salvation is brought about by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

17. For this reason, Christ Jesus is as follows:

“I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me.” John14:6

“I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die.” John11:25

“I am the bread of life; he who comes to me shall not hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst.” John6:35

“I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” John8:12

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5

18. Jesus Christ amongst these divine authorities is Mighty God, God the Son:

“Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Is.9:6

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John1:1

“He is clad in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God.” Rev.19:13

19. Therefore, salvation of man is only by Christ Jesus.

20. Then, when you preach salvation you are preaching Jesus Christ; and when you preach Jesus Christ you are preaching salvation. The two are the same: Christ is salvation, and salvation is Christ.

Conviction of sin

21. Certainly, without conviction of sin, no sinner is saved!

22. Truly, truly, a sinner must realize and accept to be one before he is saved – that is conviction of sin.

23. Humility to God through Christ Jesus as a sinner is conviction of sin – the first attempt to be saved by the Lord through the power of the Holy Spirit.

24. It is only the Holy Spirit of God that convicts sin. This is as written in John16:8,

“And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin, and righteousness and judgment: concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no more; concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.”

25. Therefore conviction of sin is by the Holy Spirit of God through Jesus Christ.

26. Thus, man cannot convict sin. Man’s conviction of sin is condemnation unto damnation, while the Holy Spirit conviction of sin is a reproof unto eternal life.

27. So, what is conviction of sin by the Holy Spirit?

28. Conviction of sin is the divine ability of the Holy Spirit to bring to man the right knowledge and understanding and consequences of sin, in a bid to link the heart of man to Jesus Christ for salvation.

29. Truly, man does not have the right knowledge, understanding and consequences of sin, because the right knowledge, understanding and consequences of are spiritually discerned.

30. The right knowledge, understanding and consequences of sin need spiritual interpretation convincingly enough to enable man to realize and willfully accept that he is a sinner, and must be saved for the sake of everlasting life by Christ Jesus.

31. Remember the Holy Spirit, is the Spirit of truth, and therefore possesses the right spiritual knowledge and understanding and consequences of sin to man. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God the Father and the Son and searches the depths of their hearts to bring it to man.

32. Without the conviction of sin to man by the Holy Spirit, no man shall be saved by Christ Jesus. You must realize and willfully accept in all humility that you are a sinner to Christ to be saved.

33. Therefore, conviction of sin is the foundation of genuine repentance unto salvation!

34. Invariably, conviction of sin is in equal proportion to your growth in Christ. The more convicted of sin you become the more holy you are in Christ. Because by conviction of sin you readily become enshrined in Christ arousing a spiritual growth in you.

35. In conviction of sin, your spirit cherishes humility to God through Christ Jesus, pleading for God’s mercy always in prayers, supplications, songs, hymns and thanksgiving for forgiveness of sin.

36. By conviction of sin, you willfully preach Christ to all and sundry, because you have come to the realization of the benefits of salvation and the consequences of sin. In that state of understanding, your desire becomes like that of the Lord, which is repentance unto everlasting life.

37. Your mandate inevitably becomes – repent or perish!

38. For conviction of sin is the power of the Holy Spirit unto salvation through Christ Jesus.

39. Once you accept this power, it certainly propels you to Christ, who in turn automatically transforms you to a spiritual being destined to everlasting life. You, then become his sheep, and he becomes your shepherd.

40. What then is the role of man in the journey of salvation, since it takes the Holy Spirit for conviction of sin?

41. What is the role of man in conviction of sin?

42. Man does not play any role in conviction of sin rather than to preach Christ by the life he lives in Christ by the grace of God.

43. Man’s mandate in the Lord is: repent or perish. For any other thing is from Satan.

44. Therefore is my heart-felt desire that all should repent and be saved by Christ Jesus. Repent or perish. Amen
