Marriage - In the
Eyes of God
THE FIFTH MESSAGE OF UJU ACCORDING
TO THE SCRIPTURE TO
WORLD
A message from Uju a servant of Christ Jesus by the grace of God through Christ Jesus, according to the word in the scripture,
2. To the WORLD; glory and honor be unto LORD God Almighty and Christ Jesus our Lord savior forever and ever. Amen.
3. According to Amos 7.14-15:
“Then Amos answered Amaziah, I am no prophet, nor a prophet’s son; but I am a herdsman, and a dresser of sycamore trees, and the LORD took me from following the flock, and the LORD said to me, “Go prophesy to my people Israel.”
4. So am I, Uju a worker of art by trade; the Word of God, the Spirit of God, in the name of Christ Jesus appeared to me in a flame of fire from the Scripture; and I immediately prophesied saying, “Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand” to people of the world.
5. I am no pastor, evangelist, prophet nor an apostle, but by the grace and mercy of God the father of Christ Jesus, I am writing this message to world according to the scripture.
MARRIAGE – IN THE EYES OF GOD
Husband and Wife – Adam and Eve
6. Marriage is a holy delightful union created by God for mankind, and for extension of life to the glory of God, called husband and wife; Adam and Eve.
7. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” – Gen 1:1.
8. Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness;” Gen 1:26.
9. “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” Gen 1:27
10. And God blessed them, and God said to them “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the that birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.” Gen 1:28
11. Note the phrase – “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it;”
12. To fulfill this phrase, Then the LORD God said, (Gen 2:18)
“It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”
13. Man did not take delight as a helper of all created by God for him, according Gen 2:20,
“The man gave names to all cattle, and to the birds of the air of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for the man there was not found a helper fit for him.”
14. Note the phrase again – “but for the man there was not found a helper fit for him.”
15. And to fulfill this phrase,
“So, the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh; and the rib which the LORD God had taken from man he made into a woman and brought her to the man,” Gen 2:21-22
16. And the man was delighted in the woman God brought to him. Then the man said,
“This at last is the bone of my bones and the flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of man.” Gen 2:23
17. The man – Adam, called her Woman, because she was taken ou.t of man: the only creation of God taken out of man as a helper, which the man delighted in as the bone of his bones, and the flesh of his flesh – a wife; and for this reason, the scripture said in Gen 2:24-25,
“Therefore, a man leaves his father and his mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh. And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.”
18. The man called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living, according to Gen3:20.
19. It is evident that a woman is a creation of God from man for man; and a wife is a woman solely brought by God to man as the bone of his bones, and the flesh of his flesh and a mother as an extension of life. She is a helper to the man, and suffers him no sorrow, but gives him joy.
20. They were a husband(Adam) and a wife(Eve) – marriage, and for extension of life: increase and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it.
21. It is manifest that there must be an Adam – the father of all living, and an Eve – the mother of all living joined together in holiness solely by God as husband and wife, and for extension of life. As the Lord says in Matt 19:6,
“What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.”
22. We are emphasizing here that a good wife only comes from God, and is joined together to her husband, solely by God. The scripture says in Prov. 19:14,
“House and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord.”
ADAM – THE HUSBAND
The Father of all Living
1. According to Gen 1:27,
“So, God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”
2. From creation it is only man that God made in his image; after his likeness. Male and female he created them. Man, in this regard is mankind – male and female, and not husband and wife.
3. Before the creation of mankind God had already created the birds of the earth, the beasts of the forest, the beasts of the ocean and creatures of similar nature; and commanded them to increase and multiply and fill the earth, except man.
4. And, then afterwards God created man and put him in charge of all his creation on earth. Man in charge of earth was alone; no one in likely complementary nature with him as the birds of the earth, the beasts of the forest, the beasts of the ocean and creatures of similar nature extending life of their kinds – procreation.
5. When God created man – male and female, he blessed them and said to them,
“Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it;”
6. To fulfill the divine purpose of fruitfulness and multiplication to man, God looked upon man with compassion over his loneliness and said,
“It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”
7. Man in charge of the earth had every help needed except but one. The desire to fill the yawning hole prompted by command of God to be fruitful and multiply made man to crave for that he couldn’t interpret but was lacking. Man, never knew what it was to be a man; to be defined as a man. But God already knew the lack and crave for man to be a man he made male and female.
8. God in his infinite compassion on man over his loneliness and desire to consummate mankind has a divine and holy plan as a union different from the birds of the earth, the beasts of the forest, the beasts of the ocean and creatures of similar nature extending life of their kinds – procreation.
9. The union that will bring man and his helper together as husband and wife and for procreation must be a holy one different from the birds of the earth, the beasts of the forest, the beasts of the ocean and creatures of similar nature extending life of their kinds – procreation.
10. The union is drawn from the template of Christ Jesus and the Church, or from God and his people – a holy marriage. All these were factored by God before marriage between Adam and Eve.
11. Adam was first prepared by God before he formed Eve and brought her to Adam as his wife. Adam never contributed anything to the forming of Eve as a wife to him. It was the sole handiwork of God. And so, it is for a holy marriage of man and woman to this day. If God does not bring the bone of your bones, and the flesh of your flesh, your marriage union must crash.
12. Adam became a husband when God brought the woman to him as a wife, then the man(Adam) said,
“This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of man.”
13. “The man called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living.” Gen 3:20. And Adam became the father of all living.
14. “Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh. And the man and his wife were naked and were not ashamed.” Gen 2:24-25
EVE – THE WIFE
The Mother of all Living
15. According to Gen 1:27,
“So, God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”
16. From the onset God has a divine purpose of a holy union for man and woman as husband and wife to carry out his command of: “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth”, which can only be fulfilled in a holy marriage.
17. Woman was in man as a complementary part of mankind – male and female he made them. Woman was made from man for man, and woman in turn gave birth to man, and became the mother of all living.
18. Eve became a wife when God brought the woman to Adam, and Adam identified her as his wife. Then the man(Adam) said,
“This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of man.”
19. “The man called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living.” Gen 3:20.
THE MYSTERY OF MARRIAGE
20. The circumstances that led to the holy union of mankind by LORD God as a husband and wife is a mystery. The hoy union is the foundation of procreation for the glory of God drawn from the concept of the Christ Jesus and the Church as the bride on the one side; and God and his children as husband and wife on the other hand.
21. Every man created by God is not his child. The child of God is therefore one born by the Holy Spirit of God through Christ Jesus who goes to become part of the body of Christ the church of God.
22. As children of God born by his Holy Spirit they are expected as a result to bear fruits of the Holy Spirit to the glory of God through the Lord – Jesus Christ.
23. Based on this divine concept God solely joined man and woman as husband and wife, such that no one shall put asunder. They are consequently expected to bear holy offspring to the glory of God through Christ Jesus.
24. This mystery of marriage is the mystery associated with the Lord and his body – the Church, and God and his children as a holy nation – a royal priesthood. For this reason, LORD God is very involved and highly concerned in the marriage union of man and woman as husband and wife. It is at the center of the Spirit of God drawing his jealousy over them.
25. The wreckage of the union brings dismay to God that he said I hate divorce. The divorce of marriage does work the righteousness of God but leads to evil. This is why the evil one – Satan took it upon himself to attack and wreck marriages to spite and dishonor God.
26. The ancient serpent – Satan the devil for the sake of total destruction of the holy union goes ahead to come up with a marriage hybrid to eliminate the concept of the holiness associated with the union by God. But still God has his children bound by the Holy Spirit in holy matrimony to his glory through the Lord – Jesus Christ to fulfill the divine purpose of the holy union.
The Glory of Holy Marriage to God
27. To the ignorance of many not every marriage is ordained by God, and is therefore bound to crash because is not of God; it is unholy.
28. Interestingly not every marriage standing is of God.
29. A lot has standing marriages devoid of God’s ordination but frosted with unsurmountable plagues. All these standing marriages without the consecration of God are set up and held by Satan to prove to the people in deceit the possibility of such unions. The evil one set it up as a template which the ignorant copy to their destruction.
30. But bear it in mind that every marriage consecrated by God can never crash. It might face challenges, but it can never crash because the Lord will deliver it. Remember that there are many troubles of the righteous but the Lord delivers him all through it.
31. Marriages hallowed by God are gifts; and no gift of God brings everlasting sorrow. Satan would attack it with afflictions, but at the end of day the Lord will stand it strong.
32. But marriages by the activity of Satan would definitely turn sour. Satan himself will subtly wreck it to the ignorance of the union. Recall Satan as adversary of mankind, has come to destroy; Satan will set the marriage up for destruction unaware to the union.
33. The process that leads to a holy marriage is very crucial, because it is to the glory of God through Christ Jesus sealed by the Holy Spirit. The process that leads to a holy marriage should be holy wherein the scripture commands taking of wife in holiness in 1Thess 4: 3-8,
“For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from unchastity; that each one of you know how to take a wife for himself in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like heathen who do not know god; that no man transgress, and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we solemnly forewarned you. For God has not called us for uncleanness, but in holiness. Therefore, whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.”
34. This verse emphasizes that the process that leads to the taking of wife must be holy, such that you don’t wrong your brother and ultimately offend God.
35. This holy process of taking a wife in holiness was exemplified in Ruth’s marriage by Boaz that led to the birth of Obed, Obed of Jesse, and Jesse of David, wherein Christ is the Son of David by flesh.
36. In the time past before the destruction of the city of Babel and its tower the whole earth had one language and few words – Gen 11:1; and eventually one culture as one people. Man, as the most advanced social being interrelate and interdepend on one another to carry out together social functions within the understanding of their language which gave rise to a unified force among them that made LORD to say in Gen 11:6,
“Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language; and this is only the beginning of what they will do; and nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.”
37. This led God to confuse their language and scatter them abroad from there over the face of all the earth. As a result of this, the people had but different languages, becoming different people and had different cultures; and spread over all the surface of the earth by God.
38. This resultantly affected all their social wellbeing including marriage which is also a social affair. The singular process that led to marriage in days of Adam before the destruction of the city of Babel seemed to be lost; instead different cultures created different marriage cultures and rites brought about by the confused language of the people to this day.
39. But the established holy process of marriage was not absolutely lost, as God manifested this in a people that called upon him.
40. The diversity of the people, tongues, tribes and nations never nullified the holy process of marriage established by God to this day. This is evident in Adam’s descendants leading to Noah who became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth before and after the great flood. Gen 5:1-32
41. The same holy process of marriage created the ancestors of Abraham form Noah through Shem. Gen 11:10-32.
42. From Abraham God carried out the holy process of marriage that led to the birth of Isaac by promise; to Jacob by election; and Jacob by election to the twelve sons of Jacob called Israel that gave rise to the twelve tribes – one language, one culture, one God.
43. The same holy process of marriage by God was made manifest in the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham as written in Matt 1:1-17
44. There was a turn of event in the birth of Jesus Christ by flesh and by Spirit. By flesh Jesus is the Son of David; and by Spirit the Son of God!
45. Jesus was born by the power of the Holy Spirit of God by a woman devoid of marriage as a holy process of procreation. Jesus was the child of the Holy Spirit according Matt 1:16; as the first child born of the Holy Spirit of God Jesus brought to bear a divine lineage of the children of God born by man and woman to be born again now by the Spirit of God for them to enter the kingdom of God.
46. The holy process of marriage is to be carried on by the children of God redeemed by the blood of Jesus through faith by grace of God by being born again after being born by man and woman of which no flesh and blood shall enter the kingdom of God.
47. Therefore, they needed to be born again by the Spirit of God through Christ Jesus to consummate the holy union of marriage ordained by God, now through Christ Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit.
48. The glory of holy marriage to God is even more evident in the priesthood of the Lord than in Levitical priesthood and in the days before the great flood. The holy process to marriage is therefore well defined among the faithful disciples of the Lord. The lord gave a clearer understanding the process, involvement, benefits and consequences of marriage in all entirety.
MARRIAGE IN THE LORD
Old and New
1. From creation marriage has been of the Lord: between the pride- the church and the Lord; and between God and his children through the Lord by the power of the Holy Spirit. This is the divine concept of marriage God manifested in Adam and Eve as the first mankind of husband and wife.
2. For this reason the Lord honored the marriage in Cana to demonstrate the ordination of a holy marriage by his Father – the LORD God. The Lord’s attendance to that marriage was a divine sign beyond the understanding of the simple. To set his approval of that holy union in Cana the Lord performed the first supposedly miracle in support of the holy marriage.
3. All holy marriages are traceable to the Lord both in the old and in the present. Because of the consequences inherent in marriages not sanctified by God, God is very wary of his people marrying strange women and men from time past to this day.
4. Every people, tongue, tribe, nation and culture have a marriage rite from time immemorial. These marriage rites more often than not are frowned by God because they go against his will even among his own people, the tribe of Israel.
5. No historical account of ancient and modern time of marriages among cultures can be trusted to be used as a reference except that of Israel which were written by the Holy Spirit of God of true men of God, preserved for generations yet unborn. These trusted account of marriage rites of the people of Israel of the Lord therefore became the accepted marriage orientation among people of other cultures who embraced the Lord as their savior. In as much as not being perfect as God wanted but it served as marriage orientation among many nations.
6. Though every culture seemingly has their own marriage rites, these rites sometimes appear to be diabolic or against nature – both divine and human nature.
7. Since so many nations have come to embrace the God of Israel through Christ Jesus, they therefore as a result embraced the religious culture of Israel not of the old but of the new through Jesus Christ more especially by Christendom.
8. In as much as the new religious lifestyle through Christ Jesus renewed the marriage rites among his disciples, but it is still traceable or linked to the old, at least as a reference and instruction.
9. God used people of Israel of old to set examples of holy marriages in the likes of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; and at same time set examples of unholy marriages among them in the likes of Samson, David and Solomon.
10. God used Solomon to exemplify the consequences and vanity associated with an unholy marriage. And, used Abraham and Sarah to demonstrate an epitome of a holy marriage wherein Sarah was referred to as our mother – the new Jerusalem above in heaven and in freedom and not in captivity as the earthly Jerusalem which is Hagar as an example of unholy union – that is by the will of the flesh. Gal 4:21-26.
11. So many questions of marriage were brought before Jesus to put his approval of marriage to test as hallowed by God, more especially by the Pharisees. This prompted the Lord to shade more light on the relevance of marriage as a holy union, and extension of life.
12. The Lord revealed an important process to a holy marriage which serves as a stumbling block to the holy union called lust as act of sexual immorality.
13. Lust was not revealed to the people of old as a sin in relation to unholy admiration of the opposite sexes concerning sexual and conjugal relationships referred to as sexual immorality. But people of old who had the fear of God knew that lust is a sin of sexual immorality, that made Job to say in Job 31:1,
“I have made a covenant with my eyes; how then could I look upon a virgin?
14. The people of Israel in days of the Lord on earth in the comfort of their marriage rites never thought lust as a sin of sexual immorality because the law of Moses did not extensively deal on it until the Lord reveled that to them according to Matt 5:27-28,
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman lustfully has committed adultery with her in his heart.”
15. Recall that lust singlehandedly led David to adultery with Beersheba that catapulted a multitude of others sin by David with severe consequences.
16. The same lust ruined Samson in the hand of Delilah; lust dealt with Solomon and enmeshed him in heinous sin of marrying 700 wives and having 300 concubines with the worship of numerous dangerous idols.
17. Truly speaking it takes a lustful heart to marry more than one wife, reason why the Lord said that in the beginning God made them one man and one woman.
18. God allowed marriage of many wives by people of old in Israel even Abraham and Jacob and David – people who God’s heart went out to but wasn’t his will. They abused the freedom of choice and expression and had the consequences until the lord commanded his disciples that it should be one man, one wife and vice versa.
19. The Lord brought a lot of revelations concerning holy and unholy marriages to make the world enjoy the blessings of a holy matrimony from God.
20. Let me tell you a mystery in marriage: one woman is a nation; how much more when they are many to a man: it’s an endless war!
MARRIAGE IN THE LORD
Righteous Man and Virtuous Woman
21. Marriage union is the design of God from the concept of the Lord and his bride – the Church, and God and his people. It has eternal benefits rooted in the holiness of the union.
22. Men and women who have the fear of God are expected to carry on the holy union as the plan of God for extension of life to the glory of God through Christ Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit.
23. According to Eccl. 7:28,
“One man among a thousand I found, but a woman among all these I have not found.”
24. From the above stated does it imply there are no women of God? The answer is No! Righteousness is associated with men who have the fear of God; while women of God are known by their virtuousness.
25. Remember this identity stemmed from the LORD God from creation going by the scripture in 1 Cor. 11:3,
“I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a woman is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.”
26. The scripture went further to set the identity and category straight stating that man is the image and glory of God, while woman is the glory of man. Secondly, man was not made from woman, but woman from man; neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. And in turn man is born of woman; and in the Lord the two are interdependent and interrelated.
27. The role of a virtuous woman as a wife in the life of a righteous man as a husband in the Lord is clearly defined by the scripture.
28. First, who is a virtuous woman? It takes a virtuous woman to be a virtuous wife to a righteous man!
29. According Prov 31:10-31 the characteristics of a virtuous wife are expressly stated:
“A good wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels, the heart of her husband trusts her, and he will have no lack of grain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life. She seeks wool and flax and works with willing hands. She is like the ships of the merchant, she brings her food from afar. She rises while it is yet night and provides food for her household and tasks for her maidens. She considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard. She girds her loins with strength and marks her arms strong. She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp does not go out at night. She puts her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle. She opens her hand to the poor and reaches out to her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of snow for her household, for all her household are clothed in scarlet. She makes herself coverings; her clothing is fine linen and purple. Her husband is known in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land. She makes linen garments and sells them; she delivers girdles to the merchant. Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her; “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.”
30. In summary, a virtuous wife is a true helper from God to her husband. She is an independent successful woman, kind and generous to her household, the poor and the needy in general. She is very humble, and respectful to her husband; and above all she has the fear of God.
31. In the same attitude, it takes a righteous man to be a righteous husband.
32. Who is a righteous husband?
33. According to the scripture a true righteous husband among many a man is Job!
34. The character of Job as a holy man and righteous husband is attested by God and Satan to the world.
35. Who is Job? As written in Job 1:1-4,
“There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, one who feared God, and turned away from evil. There were born to him seven sons and three daughters. He had seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she-asses, and very many servants; so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the east.”
36. Job’s character as attested by God according Job 1:8,
And the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?”
37. God’s testaments to Job put to test by Satan’s afflictions on him: Satan as a result destroyed all the business empire and killed nearly all his household. And in response to this deplorable incident, Job rose and rent his robe, and shaved his head, and fell upon the ground, and worshipped. And he said,
“Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return; the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.”
36. The scripture noted that: “In all this Job did not sin or charge God with wrong.” Job1:22
38. In a second testament of God to Job, the LORD said again to Satan in Job 1:3,
And the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil? He still holds fast his integrity although you moved me against him, to destroy him without cause”
39. Satan in response to the second trial, the scripture noted thus in Job 2:7-8,
“So, Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD, and afflicted Job with loathsome sores from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head. And he took a potsherd with which to scrape himself and sat among the ashes.”
40. Job as a righteous husband: Then his wife said to him, in Job 2:9-10,
“Do you still hold fast your integrity? Curse God and die.” But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women would speak. Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.”
41. Job’s reproof to his wife reaffirmed his holiness as a righteous husband to his wife through ironically saving her from the wrath of God, by not listening to her.
42. After all these, the LORD restored the fortunes of Job, in return.
43. Therefore it takes a righteous man and a virtuous woman to fulfill the purpose of God in holy marriage, which is a marriage in the Lord.
MARRIAGE IN THE LORD
The Unmarried
1. Any marriage ordained by God through Christ Jesus is a holy one and will be sustained despite the challenges until death do them part. But any marriage not ordained by God through Christ Jesus is unholy, and will crash at the end of the day.
2. Marriage in the land of Israel according to the Old Covenant – law, statutes and ordinances, of which Moses was the mediator, is different from the New Covenant, of which Christ Jesus is the mediator.
3. Marriage by the Old Covenant pertained only to Israelites, while marriage in the New Covenant is universal involving all who are disciples of the Lord irrespective of tribes, tongues, races, peoples and nations; is both for the Jews and the Gentiles in as much as you accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior.
4. The Lord has therefore set a commandment to obey to have and enjoy a holy marriage; and the commandment is simple called love. Love is the most excellent way of life in the Lord in and outside marriage.
5. What is love in the Lord?
6. According to the scripture in 1 Cor. 13:4-8, 13:
“Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, endures all things.”
“Love never ends; as for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.
“So, faith, hope, love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
7. Please note the love we are writing and talking about is the love in the Lord! The love in the Lord is when you love God with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself. When you do all things in consideration of the Lord first: that’s the fulfillment of the law.
8. Concerning marriage, the love in the Lord among his sons and daughters is the foundation of a holy marriage. Is a commandment by the Lord that must love in marriage to enjoy its benefits.
9. To the unmarried and those desiring to be married among those who have the fear of God through Jesus Christ, the scripture says in 1 Cor 7:1-2,
“It is well for a man not to touch a woman. But because of the temptation to immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.”
10. Well said; he or she who is battling with the sin or temptation of sexual immorality and when to end it by marrying would suffer defeat because marriage is not an end to sexual immorality; is as much as marrying might offer some help putting an end to sexual immorality, it would be better you repent of the sin before marrying.
11. To the unmarried in the Lord desiring marriage, your desire is of the Lord, because it is better to marry than to be aflame with passion, wherein you cannot exercise self-control – 1 Cor.7:9. But in the mix of it you should solemnly seek the face of the Lord to lead you to your bone of your bones, and the flesh of your flesh in holiness, constant prayers and patient endurance.
12. Your primary focus in this situation is the love of the Lord over your conjugal request.
13. Depending on your personal relationship with the Lord, you would definitely receive guidance in signs familiar to you when the Lord is involved in your request or walking with you. Recall you must be in holiness to receive a clearer guidance from the Lord on your conjugal application.
14. Secondly your faith must be strong in the Lord towards your conjugal request. You should not panic or fret yourself but be patient and wait upon the Lord to grant your conjugal appeal. Bear in mind in this situation, you must face challenges, afflictions, and temptations from the evil one concerning your conjugal pursuit. That’s why you should be in holiness to approach this serious demand.
15. If you already have a brother or sister in view, the Lord’s approval becomes more evident to confirm if you are meant to be husband and wife in holiness. If you two are in holiness towards your appeal, definitely the Lord will reveal same to you two in approval or disapproval.
16. Depending on your religious associations and culture of your land the same law of the Lord applies, which is love in the Lord over marriage in holiness.
17. I say again and again, your conjugal pursuit involving the Lord must be in holiness without which your
labor is in vain in the conjugal application. Holiness, holiness, holiness…………etc.
MARRIAGE IN THE LORD
The Married
18. Any marriage not ordained by God through Christ Jesus is bound to have challenges, that might eventually crash it. Even marriages sanctified by the Lord have challenges, but the Lord will obviously sustain it from crashing.
19. Our concern here are marriages ordained by God through the Lord and sealed by the Holy Spirit.
20. It takes a man and a woman who genuinely fear the Lord to consummate a holy marriage, and live ever happily after despite the challenges associated with it.
21. From of old God has ordained marriages through the Lord to his glory. Holy marriage unions have always been a thing of joy to the Lord, husband and wife; and then to the children. These holy marriages in the Lord have come to play a holy role in sustaining and piloting the course of the marriage institution in the society.
22. Holy marriages in the Lord have been a guide, reference and template used by many globally to make their own marriages work.
23. In holy marriages, the Lord has commanded roles for the husband and the wife respectively to live happily. According to the scripture, one among such commanded roles of the Lord by concession of Apostle Paul is as written in 1 Cor 7:3-6,
“The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not rule over her own body, but the husband does; likewise, the husband does not rule over his own body, but the wife does. Do not refuse one another except perhaps by agreement for a season, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, lest Satan tempt you through lack of self-control.”
24. The commanded roles of the Lord in holy marriages go on to say in 1 Cor.7:10-11,
“To the married I gave charge, not I but the Lord, that the wife should not separate from her husband (but if she does, let her remain single or else be reconciled to her husband) – and that the husband should not divorce his wife.”
25. The above stated is the most important commandment of the Lord in marriages giving indispensable conditions of living in marriage.
26. By implication, there should be no room for divorce; but in event of divorce the wife should remain single or be reconciled to her husband. And the husband should not divorce his wife.
27. The Lord as a result suggested that you could divorce, but should stay single in the Lord, or reconcile with each other. And the husband should not divorce his wife.
28. In another circumstances suggesting the evil associated with divorce is as written in Luke 16:18, the Lord said,
“Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery.”
29. This singular statement of the Lord consolidates what God says about divorce in Mal 2:16,
“For I hate divorce,”
30. Wow! For whatever God hates is a grievous evil.
31. You are still bound to your spouse irrespective of divorce in as much one is living, as written in 1 Cor 7:39,
“A wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives. If the husband dies, she is free to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord.”
32. In the eye of God, marriage is only annulled in death, and not in divorce. This is reinstated as written in Luke 16:18,
“Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery.”
33. In furtherance of the commanded roles of husbands and wives in holy marriages the scripture urged holy women in marriages in 1Peter3:1-6 saying,
“Likewise, you wives, be submissive to your husbands so that some, though they do not obey the word, may be won without a word by the behavior of the wives, when they see your reverent and chaste behavior.
Let not yours be the outward adorning with braiding of hair, decoration of gold, and wearing of fine clothing, but let it be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable jewel of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious. So once the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves and were submissive to their husbands, as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him Lod. And you are now her children if you do right and let nothing terrify you.”
34. In the same vein the scripture instructed holy men in 1Peter 3:7 saying,
“Likewise, you husbands, live considerately with your wives, bestowing honor on the woman as the weaker sex, since you are joint heirs of the grace of life, in order that your prayers may not be hindered.”
35. The Lord commanded those aspiring to be leaders in the ministry of the Lord to maintain the holy union of one husband, one wife in holiness: 1Tim 3:1-16.
36. And frowns at those who forbid marriage by departing from the faith, giving heed to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, through the pretensions of liars whose consciences are seared – 1Tim 4:1-3
37. The saying is sure and true that it is the desire of God through Christ Jesus that all should aspire to marry in holiness except God has given you the grace to remain unmarried in the Lord, like Apostle Paul, and other men of God who had the same grace to carry out their holy duties unmarried on individual bases order than a society or group or cult.
CELIBACY
Voluntarily Forbidding Marriage
1. Marriage union is the design of God from the concept of the Lord and his bride – the Church, and God and his people. It has eternal benefits rooted in the holiness of the union.
2. Men and women who have the fear of God are expected to carry on the holy union as the plan of God for extension of life to the glory of God through Christ Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit.
3. It is the desire of God through Christ Jesus that all should aspire to marry in holiness except God has given you the grace to remain unmarried in the Lord, like Apostle Paul, and other men of God who had the same grace to carry out their holy duties unmarried on individual bases order than a society or group or cult.
4. The Lord frowns at those who forbid marriage by departing from the faith, giving heed to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, through the pretensions of liars whose consciences are seared – 1Tim 4:1-3.
5. Voluntary forbid of marriage called celibacy as an individual, a religious organization or cult is evil in the sight of God; it goes against the concept of marriage by God because it does not glorify God through Jesus Christ.
6. According to the scripture participants of celibacy are departing from the faith, giving heed to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, through the pretensions of liars whose consciences are seared.
7. By voluntarily forbidding marriage they therefore pay conjugal allegiance to demons in evil matrimony to their ignorance as an individual, religious organization or a cult. No vow acts in isolation, because it does not tolerate a void, more especially when taken for religious volitions.
8. In your vow, you are either paying heed to God or demons ruled by Satan.
9. Celibacy is a marriage to the spirit world of darkness by the activity of the evil one – Satan, the ancient serpent and dragon.
10. As a celibate you defile yourself in your dreaming as spiritual upliftment by giving in knowingly or unknowingly to the will of the flesh because you lack the grace to overcome the constant attack of the flesh under whose influence you live.
11. As a celibate you ignorantly abstain from conjugal sex, marriage or both in solitary spiritual confinement imprisoned by demons in deceitful promise of salvation; you foolishly perceive yourself as a spiritual entity of high order while roasting on the frying pan of demons.
12. You are a fool as a celibate by every vow or volition, because you do not know God according to the scripture in Ps 14:1, The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”
13. Every celibate is a fool; by the singular vow of celibacy you have said in your heart: there is no God.
14. Every celibate is married to a demon or legions of demons knowingly or unknowingly; you cannot take the vow of celibacy and remain unmarried: you have denied marriage in the Lord and, therefore married to Satan.
15. Celibacy is not a void. Is an unholy marriage to the evil one – Satan and his cohorts.
16. Celibacy is therefore a cousin to anti-marriage.
ANTIMARRIAGE
Marriage to Antichrist
17. Just like we have antichrist, so we have antimarriage: another form of marriage by Satan.
18. Antimarriage is not an act against marriage but marriage to antichrist, fallen angels, evil mankind.
19. When you are married to antichrist you are antimarriage; you denied marriage by man and woman as ordained by God through Christ Jesus.
20. Antimarriage could be referred to as a hybrid(monster) marriage: marriage in the world of the beast.
21. Antimarriage is a marriage involving man and man or woman and woman or hybrid individuals. It involved as in the old sons of God and daughters of men giving birth to monsters. Antimarriage denies the marriage involving man and woman as husband and wife – the true concept of marriage as set by the Lord. And the spirit behind antimarriage is the spirit of antichrist.
22. Hybrid individuals are awful beasts(monsters) because they do not have identity as a woman or man but a hybrid as a result of the mixture of the two, giving rise to an awful beast. They are cousins to celibates, that’s why they sympathize with one another.
24. Antimarriage takes place on the altar of the beast under the earth, the abode of antichrist. The abode of antichrist is the abode of the dead: the living dead.
25. Who is the antichrist? According to the scripture in 1John 2:22 it says,
“This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.”
26. Who is he who denies the Father(God) and the Son (Jesus Christ) is Satan – the devil: the spirit of evil, and the unholy spirit; the spirit of error as opposed to the Spirit of truth, the Holy Spirit of God.
27. Antichrist is the evil spirit of Satan, who does not confess Jesus, but denies him; for he who denies the Son, also denies the Father, and that is the spirit of antichrist as stated in 1John 4:1-3.
28. Antimarriage is traceable to the ancient city of Sodom and Gomorrah. The evil activities of this city in terms of dishonorable passions were known to all to this day.
29. To this day the scripture said about them in Rm.1:24-32,
“Therefore, God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. For this reason, God gave them up to dishonorable passions. Their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural, and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a base mind and improper conduct. They were filled with all manner of wickedness, evil, covetousness, malice. Full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity, they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God’s decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them but approve those who practice them.”
30. Check out the sentence: “Though they know God’s decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them but approve those who practice them.” Who are they as mentioned? Government and religious jurisdiction of the day!
31. The evil practice has become constitutional rights in the government of the day; and a religious doctrine in the religious jurisdiction of the day.
32. This is to show that antichrist has fully taken over the affairs of men who are not afraid of the Son and the Father by their denial spurred by the evil one – Satan, the antichrist. The antichrist has wedded them in an unholy matrimony to their eternal destruction.
33. Antimarriage though traceable to Sodom and Gomorrah, was first seen in the days of Noah by the activity of Satan through the sons(angels) of God in heaven who left their abode in heaven and came to earth and took to wives the daughters of men as written in Gen. 6:1-2, 4
“When men began to multiply on the face of the ground, and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were fair; and they took to wife such of them as they chose.”………and also, afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men that were of old, the men of renown.”
34. The destruction of the concept of marriage by God through Christ Jesus has been of old by Satan in order to have hybrid generation of men – monsters, to pollute the holy lineage of God through men who have the fear of God.
35. Antimarriage as another form of marriage by Satan who denied and opposed the Son and the Father as an antichrist carried to this day same evil marriage practiced today by men marrying men, and women marrying women, and hybrid individuals living as husbands and wives.
36. In the eyes of God, you are still bound to your spouse irrespective of divorce in as much one is living, as written in 1 Cor 7:39,
“A wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives. If the husband dies, she is free to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord.”
37. In the eyes of God, marriage is only annulled in death, and not in divorce. This is reinstated as written in Luke 16:18,
“Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery.”
38. The Lord as a result suggests that you could divorce, but should stay single in the Lord, or reconcile with each other. And the husband should not divorce his wife.
NOTE: Marriage is a covenant between husband and wife and God: it is a divine covenant because of the involvement of God. Any divine covenant is preceded by a sacrifice, ratified by the shedding of blood; for the scripture says in Heb.9:2,
“Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.”
Such is the case in all divine covenants, like in the 1st covenant, involving the blood of animals; the 2nd covenant involving the blood of the Lord; God’s covenant with Abraham involving the supposedly blood of Isaac, for in the heart of Abraham, Isaac was dead, before God intervened with an animal. Is the same situation involving marriage as a covenant between husband and wife and God: it must end in the dead of any of the spouses for annulment of the marriage before God. For the vow testifies that until death do us part or remain forever together as life permits. Therefore, the annulment of marriage before God does take place in divorce, but in the death of the husband or the wife, genuinely. The life of the living is in the blood; anything that brings about death is preceded by shedding of blood – the ultimate sacrifice, without which the sacrifice is not justified. The sacrifice of divorce is null and void in marriage before God. And there must be death of any of the spouses to vindicate dissolution of marriage before God, and must be sincere – in all case by natural occurrence, and not by an act of any man. You are living in adultery if you divorce your husband or your wife by virtue of the law of man, and go and marry another husband or wife, when you two are still living. This is the serious situation of exchanging marriage vows. You have to be very careful, before entering into marriage. You would rather remain single in the Lord, than to lead a divorce life in the marriage of another.
The only condition allowed by God in case divorce is inevitable, is to remain single in the Lord after the divorce or reconcile with each other as husband and wife again.
Finally
39. Satan, the ancient serpent and the Devil has from the beginning distorted the concept of holy marriage to this day; he caused the fall of Adam and Eve that brought about sin and death that spread to all mankind in a stained matrimonial union that gave birth to an endless lineage of sinners, of which the first, Cain was a murderer.
40. Satan led away a host of angels that rebelled against God, some of whom came down to earth and took to wives the daughters of men and gave birth to monsters – hybrid individuals that were satanic in nature. This was with the evil intent to pollute the lineage of mankind through sinful marriage to destroy the concept of holy marriage by God.
41. In the state of sinful mind the hearts of men are wicked, and this abruptly affected their marriages by the evil wiles of Satan that hardened the hearts of men concerning marriage who consequently took to many wives, engaged in divorce, practiced celibacy, involved in antimarriage, had children out of wedlock in the name of baby-mama and baby-papa.
42. As if it wasn’t enough they went ahead to be sperm donors, surrogate mothers, marriage to animals, mixed-marriages wherein multiple couples live together and sleep with one another as though they are single couples, loose marriage union wherein each spouse is free to sleep around still tied to each other but are free to tolerated matrimonial flirting, and a host of satanic form of marriages and devilish romantic relationships prevalent today.
43. All these abominable lifestyles are direct activities of the evil one – Satan, destroying the concept of holy marriage as set by God through Christ Jesus.
44. In the name of Christ Jesus I forbid every activity of Satan in every holy matrimony among both the righteous and the unrighteous. And pray that the Lord may grant you the grace to follow the holy process leading to a holy marriage, and also give you the grace to overcome the challenges faced in every marriage that might lead to divorce. Amen!
